1982-2002 Camaro Firebird Torque Arm Adjustable On Car
Transfer more or your power to the wheels by with this Founders Peformance adjustable torque arm. This unique designed aftermarket torque arm replaces the flimsy stamped stock torque arm adding strength, rigidity and eliminating flex. This super strong tubular torque arm is a direct bolt on replacement using existing mounting holes and requires no drilling or welding. Founders torque arm is designed to eliminate wheel hop under hard acceleration and reduce your 60-foot times. All necessary parts are supplied with this tubular set-up including a low deflection Energy Suspension front bushing which replaces the stock rubber bushing and bolts in with the existing clamshell. The rear torque arm mount is constructed entirely of high strength grade 50 steel (not the more common 1008, 1010, or grade 30) CNC laser cut and is fully pulsed spray welded with extra material around the mounting holes compared to any other torque arm on the market. This set-up features on-car adjustability for easy pinion angle adjustments using forged 4340 Heat treated adjuster and high strength alloy steel solid rod ends. This makes this the strongest adjustable torque arm on the market at the most affordable price! Designed to fit GM 10-Bolt rear-ends, Moser and Strange 12-Bolts as well as most 9″ housings.

I have used Founder products in the past and have been very happy with them. So when I saw they had a torque arm, I just had to get it. I was hoping to hit the track before writing this review but weather was not permitting it. The first thing I noticed was how ridged and heavy their arm was in comparison to the factory stamped steel arm. From the seat of your pants it feels like the car is more planted under hard straight line acceleration but slightly looser in the corners. Installation was pretty straight forward with the hardest part being putting the front bushing back in its bracket. Overall this is a strong product that should hold up to lots of track abuse and I am very happy with my new torque arm.

Very nice unit, relatively easy installation ( when on a hoist) and nice and clear instructions. One note however, on my application, the poly bushing for the clamshell mount did not fit even though the car is an ’86 and should have had the newer style mount. Double check your clamshell mount before installation. Overall a high quality torque arm.

Product arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Welds and quality are top notch. My torque arm has been on my daily driven Trans Am now for about a year and as handled many hard launches with no problems. Would recommend it to anyone. Best bang for the buck torque arm available.

Perfect product(torque arm), even more stout than the pics show. It went in an 84 Camaro/550 hp ls-1- no worries here!! Just orders than relocate pan hard bar for 3″ dual exhaust cause it looks exactly what I need for dual pipes- thanks!!!

this torque arm is very beefy and slipped right onto my 9bolt axle I agree with the other review much more planted in straight line acceleration but car is looser going around corners I wish they made a non adjustable as everything else on my car so far was non adjustable but you get a great product for a lower price very happy with the tq arm

Awesome quality and fit just like their other items. For the people saying the rear end feels looser on the corners, you might want to double check your pinion angle. The rear end feels nice and snug with no binding and driving through the Black Hills I don’t think I could ask for a better handling car.
