Caster Camber Plates Camaro Firebird
Do you need to take control of your Camaro or Firebirds front suspension. Accomplish this by using this set of Founders Performance adjustable camber / caster plates (strut mounts). Founders Performance plates replace the stock rubber strut mount bushings with a stainless steel spherical bearing, allowing you full control of the suspension geometry. Whether you want your alignment set for track, street, or strip, these plates will allow you to fine tune your suspension so you can get the most out of your car. The bearing mounts are completely adjustable and are 100% Pulse Mig welded for the ultimate in strength, durability, and fit. They also feature a special stainless steel replaceable teflon lined spherical bearing for a noise free quality ride. Now coming with a LIFETIME WARRANTY from the main plate bending.

Bought these for my 1991 Trans Am Autocross project. They seem to be very good quality, and have tightened up the front end considerably. Price is very competitive, and looking forward to feeling these out on course.

Could instantly tell a difference in cornering. While you feel more bumps in the road if your worried about that don’t get a sports car. You feel more comfortable about an increase in speed in the corners. Feels more like the newer sports car feeling. Now all i need is a strut tower brace and to re-new the rear suspension. A++

Noticed an immediate difference. Turn in is considerably better. Over all steering is tighter and you have a better feel of what the car is doing in the corner. If you want a soft Cadillac Ride these are not for you. If you want positive feedback and killer cornering these ARE for you. Tons of adjustability for almost any suspension setup.

I installed them at the same time that I changed out the springs, struts and shocks. I can’t say that the improved ride and steering comes directly as a result, or more as a combination of adding them with the new springs, struts and shocks along with the alignment that followed. What I can tell you is that the combination has greatly improved the ride and steering. They do have a different footprint than the original caster/camber plates, which for most of you I don’t think will be an issue, however on my car when the color was changed from red to blue, the originals were simply masked off. The result is now there is red paint showing in spots around the plates. No fault of the product, just something for future customers to think about. As with the rear lower control arms and panhard bar that I purchased from Founders last year, great parts with a quality similar to the other companies, with a price that can’t be beat.

The caster/camber plates are definitely not the weak link in the suspension chain. They are well built, nice welds and feel of WAY better quality than the stock units. Other parts will be purchased from Founders.

The slots are longer than stock so you have lots of room camber plus the ability to double the range of caster adjustment.

You can tweak the front end a lot with these plates. The ride isn’t harsh and there are no noises from the front end. I can’t think of any time you’d need the full camber adjustment (almost -2* of negative camber) aside from the track. Great product.

Put the camber plates in this weekend, everything bolted up simply and the alignment shop had no trouble putting the car to some aggressive specs.
